Can materials be transported from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Nafees Transport carries bulk and construction materials, steel, rebar, pipes and industrial materials from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Each run is planned end to end: departure from Dubai outside restricted hours, the E11 corridor, and arrival in Abu Dhabi within the ITC's rules and your site's receiving window.
The Dubai–Abu Dhabi corridor links the UAE's two largest cities, so it is one of the most important construction supply routes in the country. Because the journey crosses two emirates with different heavy-vehicle rules, success depends on planning both ends, not just the drive in between.
How the run is planned
| Stage | What we plan for |
|---|---|
| Pickup in Dubai | Supplier or yard loading slots; load secured for the full intercity journey |
| Leaving Dubai | Dubai's restrictions from 1 October 2026 – including a 6 AM–10 PM ban on Sheikh Zayed Road – so we use routes and times that avoid restricted roads; Emirates Road is exempt |
| The E11 corridor | Roughly 140 km between the cities; departure timed so arrival meets the site window |
| Entering Abu Dhabi | The ITC's restricted corridors, including Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road (E11) and Al Raha Beach Road (E10), with alternatives such as E75 and Al Haffar Road |
| Delivery | Abu Dhabi city restricted hours and site access; peak-hour restrictions on Al Rawdah Road (E30) for Mussafah |
The Dubai end: restricted roads and hours
According to the RTA and Dubai Police announcement, from 1 October 2026 trucks are banned from 6 AM to 10 PM on Sheikh Zayed Road and Beirut Street, round the clock on Al Qudra Street, Al Meydan Street, all crossings and the Airport Tunnel, and at peak hours on Airport Street, Oman Street and Damascus Street. Emirates Road is exempt. For a southbound run, this shapes both the route out of Dubai and the time we leave.
The Abu Dhabi end: ITC rules
Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre bans heavy vehicles from Abu Dhabi city roads from 6:30 to 9:00 AM and 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and from 6:30 to 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Fridays, according to its January 2025 announcement. The ITC has also restricted trucks on Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road (E11) and Al Raha Beach Road (E10). We plan the approach into Abu Dhabi so trucks reach your site between restricted windows rather than waiting at the city edge.
What we carry on this route
- Steel and rebar – strapped and secured on trucks and flatbed trailers for the intercity run.
- Bulk materials – planned as a sequence when a project needs several loads.
- Construction materials – timed to your Abu Dhabi build programme.
- Industrial materials – for plants and industrial areas such as Mussafah.
Getting a load right for 140 km
On a long highway run, a load must stay secure through sustained speed, braking and lane changes, and the vehicle must stay within federal weight limits. We secure every load for the full journey and plan weights within the rules – see UAE weight and axle-load rules and securing rebar on a flatbed.
