Construction deliveries for the capital

Nafees Transport serves Abu Dhabi as part of our nationwide UAE coverage. We move construction and industrial materials from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and within the emirate, to city projects and to industrial areas such as Mussafah.

Abu Dhabi city is roughly 140 km from Dubai along the E11. That distance makes planning more important than it is for a short city run: departure times, the route into the city and the time the site can receive the load all have to line up.

Abu Dhabi's heavy-vehicle rules

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), part of Abu Dhabi Mobility, sets the rules for heavy vehicles on Abu Dhabi roads. Two sets of rules matter most for construction deliveries:

Restricted hours on Abu Dhabi city roads

Since 27 January 2025, according to the ITC announcement, heavy vehicles – including trucks, tankers and heavy equipment – may not use Abu Dhabi city roads:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:30–9:00 AM and 3:00–7:00 PM
  • Friday: 6:30–9:00 AM and 11:00 AM–1:00 PM

Restricted corridors

The ITC has also restricted truck movement on Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road (E11) and Al Raha Beach Road (E10), with trucks directed to alternative routes such as Al Fayah–Seih Shuaib Road (E75) and Al Haffar Road. Peak-hour truck restrictions also apply on Al Rawdah Road (E30) in Mussafah. Permit arrangements exist for some movements, so we check the current position for each job.

Serving Mussafah and industrial Abu Dhabi

Mussafah is one of Abu Dhabi's main industrial areas and a frequent destination for construction and industrial materials. Deliveries there need care around the peak-hour restrictions on Al Rawdah Road (E30). We plan arrival times so trucks are not held at the edge of the area waiting for a restriction to lift.
